Where do you get forklift license in Atlanta GA?

There is no such thing as a forklift license only training.

----

For those UK based people - Following forklift training a test is undertaken and a licence if competence is proven in the safe handling of a forklift is issued by a registered examiner. Each forklift type requires training followed by a test and the issue of a licence to operate that type of machine. Failure to do so is a breach of the health and safety at work act which is punishable under UK law. Quite a difference to requirements of other countries.

These are the basic features on a forklift.

  • Mast: The mast is the vertical support that permits raising and lowering the load.

  • Back Rest: Attached to the carriage and prevents the load shifting backwards, it protects the mast cylinders hoses as well as preventing any goods falling through the mast and hitting the operator.

  • Lift Cylinder: Controls the amount by which the mast structure, forks and carriage may be raised or lowered in the vertical.

  • Tilt Cylinder: Controls the amount by which the mast structure, forks and carriage may be tilted beyond the vertical position, forward or backward.

A standard dry container 20ft or 40ft would be leased by a cargo company during its lifetime. They all call them something different (like a spiderleg or pop-floor) depending on the intended cargo.

Meaning of forklift tire 6.50x10-10pr?

6.50 means that the tyre/tire is six and a half inches wide.

The 10 is the rim diameter in inches that it fits onto.

The 10pr stands for "ten ply rating" so the tire/tyre strength is equivalent to an old-time tyre that had ten actual plies of canvas in its construction. Nowadays steel and nylon are used as reinforcement and as far as I know canvas is no longer used. One problem with canvas or cloth reinforcement is that it eventually rots and the tyre bursts.

How do you park a fork lift truck correctly?

Tilt the forkhead until the tips of the fork tines touch the ground, set the brake, shut off the engine and, if you are the only assigned driver, take the key. Usually you're not the only assigned driver, so usually you leave the key in it if it has one in the first place.
