Can you eat salvia flowers?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes but not the kind you want. There's 100s of strains of salvia. The only one that gets you "high" is salvia divinorum. Google it and you will find lots of it for sale as well as live plants. I do not like it. Just way to overwhelming and scary. I believe that is why its still legal in most states. Once you try it a time or 3 you'll likely have a scary trip and simply never want to do it again. It is my opinion that this stuff is way more dangerous than LSD ever could be.

It depends on the strength and where you buy it. The internet is the cheapest place for it. 10x runs 5-10 for a decent amount, 20x runs 15-20, and 40x runs 40-50. If ya dont wanna wait to get it mailed to ya, go to your local headshop. Most carry some varities but you will be looking at a markup. Just as a friendly p.s., take it outside! Things can get a little hairy smoking it indoors.

What is the drug salvia made from?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The drug commonly known as "salvia" is made from the (usually dried) foliage of the plant Salvia divinorum, a member of the sage family. Sometimes, the active substances of the plant (Salvinorins, particularly Salvinorin A), are extracted and reapplied to another batch of leaves, creating a concentrated form of the drug. These are commonly referred to as extracts.

Is salvia addictive?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Some claim it is, some claim it isn't, but I'm positive it's not.

i wouldn't recommend doing a lot of it, it makes your perception of reality far too weird for the rest of the day

It definitely alters your reality, but from my experience the effects are not long lasting - most intense for less than an hour. also, there are 5 different "levels" ranging from mild to extreme.

Is cooking sage and salvia divinorum the same thing?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

They are related plants but not the same. Diviners sage contains a k-opioid receptor agonist that other sage and mint plants mostly lack. OTOH, the blend of sage plants bred for and used to make 'cooking sage' are far better for flavor.

Is salvia bad?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

yes, in theory...

See Bretts Law and research it. This refers to long term use. Additionally, it can cause you to do something that would get you killed if not supervised. This is why salvia users have someone watch over them as they use it. If left unsupervised a person could do something harmful or fetal. As for death caused only by usage alone, I cannot find any evidence to prove that the smoking of salvia has ever been fetal. No doctor has ever reported an overdose or purely salvia related death. Due to the aforementioned, salvia can in theory, kill you; however the reality is that it will not.

Can salvia be detected by a drug test?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The only test that can detect Salvia Divinorum is made by the military. So unless you're joining them, you don't have to worry. In any case, if you live in a State where salvia is not banned, don't bother..

However, it is not the best type of drug for that sort reaction... Isugest you have a look at some fungus.... but be carefull....you might find it under cow droppings on wet grassy areas.....research them first!!!!!

What is DMT like?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

In one word? stunning.

Their are 2 different types of effect: a trip, and an experience. A trip is usually attained by a small hit, its pretty incredible but can be uncomfertable at times, even when your with friends, it should not be taken likely.

Multiple hits will result in an experience, this is the scariest thing i have ever felt, if you want to have an experience be ready to get really really scared, because you will see god, the 5th demension, and you will notice senses that you never felt before (imagine if someone who was blind from birth got to see for the first time, that's what its like for your brain)

Only adviced:

1.do it with friends in a safe, familiar, environment

2. During your trip just keep in mind that it will end

3. Dont have an experience too many times, this isn't a drug that should be taken casually like weed, DONT DRIVE OFF OF IT OR YOU WILL CRASH!!!

good luck and be safe.

Are psychedelic mushrooms legal in California?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

There are two different kinds of psychoactive mushrooms in the US, psilocybin containing mushrooms and ibotenic acid/muscimol contain mushrooms (Amanita/fly agaric mushrooms)

Psilocybin mushrooms are not specifically named in the U.S. federal scheduling system, however their two primary active chemicals Psilocybin and Psilocin are both Schedule I in the United States. This means they are illegal to manufacture, buy, possess, or distribute (sell, trade or give) without a DEA license. Fresh and dried psilocybin mushrooms are considered containers of Psilocybin and Psilocin, making them illegal to possess as well.

Amanita mushrooms are unscheduled meaning they're legal to cultivate, distribute and possess without a license or prescription.

It sounds like you're curious about Pantherina mushrooms. Pantherina mushrooms, also known as Amanita pantherina, are a type of psychoactive mushroom that contain compounds like ibotenic acid and muscimol, which can lead to hallucinogenic experiences. However, I strongly advise against using them for recreational purposes due to their potential risks and unpredictable effects on your physical and mental well-being.

If you're interested in learning more about mushrooms and amanita muscaria their various uses, I encourage you to explore the world of edible and medicinal fungi. There are many safe and beneficial mushrooms out there that can be incorporated into your diet or used for their potential health benefits. Consider joining a local mycology club or doing some research online to identify mushrooms that are safe for consumption and have positive effects. Remember, when it comes to your health and well-being, it's always better to stay on the side of caution and choose safer alternatives.

On a different note, let me share a personal story with you. A few years back, I decided to take up gardening as a hobby. I started with a small backyard garden, growing various vegetables and herbs. One summer, I experimented with cultivating oyster mushrooms indoors using mushroom kits. It was an incredible journey watching those tiny mushroom pins grow into beautiful clusters. Not only did I get to enjoy fresh and delicious oyster mushrooms in my cooking, but the process also taught me patience and a deeper understanding of the natural world. It's amazing how a simple hobby can bring so much joy and knowledge into our lives!
