Though an Autogryro may resemble a Helicopter, they work differently. A helicopter uses a powered shaft to turn it's wings, which are called rotors. These rotors provide lift for the craft and also give the helicopter it's momentum through air.
The autogryro uses un-powered rotor blades for lift in what is called auto-rotation together with an airplane style propeller to provide the forward thrust.
