I think they are only looking for extras for series 3 not a main character and you don't have to be a proper actor/actress cos quite a few of the kids from the programme hadn't done any acting before if you look at their IMDb page. But i guess you just have to have talent but it would give you a big advantage if you had experience especially in film or tv like Mia Mckenna-Bruce or Richard Wisker and also it would be best to have an agent to give you a better chance.
