John Travolta, born in 1954, in New Jersey; is a highly acclaimed American actor with a career that began in television with the show, "Welcome Back Kotter" where he played the role of High School character, Vinnie Barbarino; a cocky, slow-witted, Italian American, who was the subject of envy and amusement with his classmates for his "ways with women".
