You're confusing a phony story about another Hollywood star with John Wayne.
In no particular order John Wayne rode Bo (or Beau), Dollor, Dollar, Cochise, Duke, Banner, Steel, Alamo, and Starlight
The two he rode for the longest period of time seem to be Banner (14 years) and DollarI believe that dog was a Rough-coated Collie. I would not be surprised to find out that the dog was trained by Rudd Weatherwax, the man that trained all the Lassies.
Many movie information sites and books list "Lassie" in the cast of the classic John Wayne Western Hondo. Close, but not true, according to a correspondent who knows the Weatherwax family: the collies in Hondo and the later Wayne Western Big Jake were trained by the Weatherwax kennels and were Lassie siblings and children, but were not played by Lassie himself. There is a story, very probably apocryphal, that says during the filming of Hondo Wayne won Lassie away from Rudd Weatherwax in a very "highly lubricated" after-shooting-hours poker game, then "gave the dog back" in the morning.
Rooster Cogburn and The Searchers Wayne was an ex-confederate soldier.
In True Grit and the sequel Rooster Cogburn Wayne wore an eye patch due to the character losing an eye in the Civil War.
John Wayne was born Marion Robert Morrison but his parents changed his name to Marion Mitchell (in some accounts Michael) Morrison after they decided to name their second son Robert..
Like every other actor in early Hollywood there was no actors studios and places to study the art of acting. They learned as they went. But I always feel an actor is born not made. You either have the talent or you don't.
The cartridge in the middle of John Wayne's belt was a .45-70. Early in the Duke's career he often worked on movies with old cowboys who were actually around when the west was still wild. One of them told Wayne that many of the old timers kept a larger .45-70 round in the middle of their gun belt so they would know when they had used up half of their regular bullets. John liked the idea and added that touch to his screen persona.
That would let him know when he had only six rounds left.
The character played by John Wayne became weepy in She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, but tears never flowed down from his eyes.
Other than that, I don't think any Wayne character ever expressed himself with tears.
It will be stamped into the barrel just in front of the receiver, but I'm sure it's 30-30 Winchester
Grant Withers: "Rio Grande" (1950), "The Fighting Kentuckian" (1949), "Fort Apache" (1948), "Wake of the Red Witch" (1948), "Tycoon" (1947), "Dakota" (1945) "The Fighting Seabees" (1944), "In Old Oklahoma" (1943), "A Lady Takes a Chance" (1943).
John Wayne's film performances were largely overlooked during his career. He was nominated only twice for Best Actor -- for "The Sands of Iwo Jima" (1949) and "True Grit" (1969). He won for his performance in the latter film as U.S. Marshal Reuben J. "Rooster" Cogburn.
He didn't attend a middle school because although the concept was used as early as 1909 (Indianola Junior High School in Columbus, Ohio), it didn't become widespread until the 1950's.
Your question is not clear, but I guess it kinda means that you want to know about John Wayne Airport.
So here, goes...
It is the most convenient location ever if you want to travel to SoCal, though flights can be expensive if you are one of the people who book late. If you book at least 2 weeks in advance, you should get pretty good deals.

Patrick Wayne's children from his first marriage to Peggy Hunt (December 11, 1965-1978) are as follows:Michael, Melonie and Anthony. Wayne remarried in 1999 to Misha Anderson, no children from this union.
This is one of my favorite John Wayne movies and the name of the young actors that played JD Cahill's sons were Gary Grimes and Clay O'Brien. I thought they both did a great job. When sharing the screen with someone with the 'presence' that Wayne had could diminish lessor actors but the boys didn't lose an inch.
