What is 686 on the rambling rose Alaskan king crab?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

686 is a line of snowboarding apparel.

COINCIDENCE ???

686 is also the last 3 digits of the Ramblin' Rose's registration number on the side of the boat (full registration # is 59686). Until seeing the above answer, I always assumed the 686 stood for that, but Elliott does snowboard in his free time - (Elliott Neese is captain of the crab ship 'Rambin Rose' on Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch") - I'd guess that he is probably paid to advertise and wear those 686 brand clothes on the show. That's purely speculation on my part, though. I don't have any facts to confirm or deny it.
