In my opinion, no! Most alcohol-based mouthwashes are too harsh for the mouth & gums. Try get your hands on a good TEA TREE or ALOE VERA mouthwash. ALOE DENT is a great one, I use it all the time with great results! It is all natural, with absolutely no nasty ingredients. They make toothpastes too! Should be available in most healthfood stores or at least available to order from your local one. :)

Short answer... I have no idea. But I've been looking on the web for products that claim to pass the test. From what I've read, these products such as "ultra wash toxin cleansing mouthwash" stop you from salivating and if you cant salivate then you cant show any traces within your saliva, if you know what I mean. anyhow, the following ingredients are found in one of the mouthwashes that claim to detox your tounge... Water, Glycerin, Magnesium Sulfate, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera, Boron Citrate, Lithium Sulfate, Peppermint, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate I don't know about about the listerine strips, but listerine doesn't contain these ingredients. Further, listerine strips are likely to contain ethanol like the mouthwash and could put you at risk for blood alcohol levels. So, do they work? My guess is unlikely. I hope that helps! Dan

if the infection is not too bad maybe listerine can get rid of nail fungus, but it very depend on the infection, you can not just use listerine for all conditions.

The short answer......YES! And here's how! Listerine. Sounds weird but it works miracles an helps prevent reinfestation. Just put your child in the tub and pour it on their head. It will feel really cold but just make them sit there for about 3 minutes. If your interested, remove one nit before application and another afterwards. You will see that the listerine eats away their clear bodies and kills them immediately. For maintenance, fill a spray bottle with half water and half listerine. Spritz their hair and this will act like a repellant because they don't like the mentholated smell. This is a great way to get rid of these pests without dangerous pesticides. I discovered this after my daughter had a serious infestation after a sleepover.

Some toothpastes has an expiry date but it never actually goes bad, it could however dry out.
