• Some people think modeling is bad because for many years fashion designers had their models lose so much weight that their physical appearance was skeletal and so much so, that one model was caught on tape while modeling and had very high heels on and her ankles could not balance her gait and she fell more than once. Fashion companies and designers were weighing in the girls to keep them extremely thin and some of the girls were either anorexic or bulimic. Some models had the courage to get out of the business and put on a healthy weight and then come forward to tell society really what was going on behind the closed curtains of fashion companies and designers. There is far more attention being paid to try and protect the models during this time and many are slim, but at least not skeletal in appearance. If a young woman wants to get into the modeling business it is not as glamorous as it looks and it takes a lot of work to get makeup on; hair done; quickly changing into different clothing; walking down the stage while also maintaining a reasonable weight during all of this a little private time for themselves.

Companies like Carters don't use any specific agency. They typically hire models from various agencies depending on where their location is.

When they're on a shoot, models wear what the photographer, art director, and the end client want them to appear in. For fashion work, the end client supplies the clothing, sometimes the models have the option to keep the clothing from the shoot (it can't be sold retail), the model will usually supply their own undergarments. For work other than fashion the photgrapher and/or art director will arrange with the model ahead of time for the model to bring the needed clothing, or arrange to have it supplied for the shoot. What clothing is needed depends on the shoot. If Its a resort, it will be clothing appropriate for the locations at the resort they'll be shooting at. If the shoot will depict a happy family buying its first house... and so on.

When they're not on a shoot models wear whatever they want, like everyone else. It helps their career if they don't look like they never wore a business suit or long dress or a golf outfit or whatever before - it's more a matter of a positive attitude at work than what they wear at home, but it might be helpful to have tried a wide variety of clothing on in stores so there's some sense of how to carry yourself when wearing it.

1. Desireable by who? It would vary by agency, city, country, nationality.

2. Desireable of a child of what age? A child of 6 has a differnt optimum weight than a child of 9.

3. Desireable for what kind of model? The weight would be different for a fat model vs a skinny model.

4. Desireable for what country? Different countries look at bodies differently as a society.

5. Desirable for what body type? An athletic body has a differnt body mass index than a fat model.

If the model is just appearing in an editorial advertisement in Vogue, they aren't paid that much. In the U.S.A, editorial models that appear in ads for publications like Vogue are paid between $150-$300 per day.

However, if a model is given a full spread in the magazine and/or the cover, the pay range could be from a few hundred to $1,000+. It all depends on how much the model's agent is able to negotiate with the magazine.

Buckle more than likely is a company that hires its models through a modeling agency. Therefore, it is best to be an agency represented model that lists Buckle as one of the clients it has provided models for.

Yeah. But only in major cities like Atlanta, Georgia, New York City, New York, Miami Florida, Orlando, Florida, and San Fransisco etc. cities/major places in California. So yea. But if you aren't any where near those cities--if you want to be a teen model/want a friend or family member to be a model you should prob move close to one of those cities, or at least somewhere in California. And once you've conquered a GREAT job at a modeling agency, research "billboard modeling," and you might be able to be a Billboard Model, which gets paid a lot I am sure. Billboard (teen) models of course have to be NOT AT ALL chubby or just one bit fat. So yea modeling agencies, or if SUPER SUPER excited about modeling after a while, billboard agencies I guess. ✌❤Hope I helped!!
