10 years before the first film monsters inc mike and his class were going on a field trip to monsters inc the factory for a field trip and while there there they get to see a real scare but since mike is the smallest he cannot see he suves through but one of his classmates says that he dosent belong on the scare floor angry mike secratly goes with the scarer trying to be unseen then he watches the scarer live scare a human child soon he comes out with the scarer and the scarer didn,t no he was in there shocked he gives mike his mu hat which stands for monster university then the teacher asks what he has to say for himself and mike asks '' how do i become a scarer? '' then a few years later mike goes to mu and while teacher profesor knight is asking mike questions once mike tells profesor knight one of the called roar oami roar the doors fly open and a blue monster with pink spots come running through roaring ''oh sorry i just herd someone say roar '' said the monster ''and you are ? ''asked profesor knight '' james p. sullvien '' said sulliven '' so your the son of the famous scarer his dad mr. sulliven '' said the profesor soon randal (called randy in monsters inc 2 aka monster university) wants to be with mikes team but he joins roar omai roar soon it,s time for the scare games in the final one ozma kamper mikes team is against roar omai roar and ozma kamper wins but sulley cheats by smashing part of the traing human robots control panel because he thinks there going to loose because mike isn,t scarey when mike finds out they cheated he goes to the door lab to prove himself that he is scarey but when he goes into a human world a kid says he looks funny and cute so then when sulley finds out mike went through the door he goes in and goes after but then the police comes and mike ecscapes the house soon sulley goes after while the police check the house sulley confessis he was acting like a looser and mike says that he was a jerk sulley also says that even do he acts scary sometimes he is scared too then the two go and soon they plan to scare the police to go back home so soon they scare the police and return home soon the cda comes (child detctive agentcy ) come and the # 1 the leader comes and says that shell keep an eye on them soon the cda exile the two but mike knows a way they can work at monsters inc before being on the scare floor they start to pack up the mail soon the abomible snow man from the first film comes and says there almost done soon they start working at the factory on the scare floor then sulley asks ready coach yep mike replies at the end it shows some notes to sully and mike get and it shows a picture of mr.waternoose from the first film but he has hair and a mustash then it shows the scare cards and it,s the end of the film

They attend Monsters University (the same as the title of the movie).
