Mudslides

Mudslides, also known as mudflow, are a natural disaster in which mud and collected debris rapidly flow in a downward direction. Mudslides generally occur in areas where large amounts of vegetation has been destroyed, lands with steep slopes, and places where surface runoff is directed. The largest mudslide in history happened in 1980 when Mount St. Helens in Washington state erupted.
