It is form of opinion. In most people's opinion however, Tony Hawk is better because he was here long before Rob Dyrdek and he is way more known/famous. Most people don't even know who Rob Dyrdek is. Not to say that Rob Dyrdek is not better. It is a form of opinion.
i think it all started when he got sponsored by DCSHOEUSA then tha show rob and big and calrs jr indorsment but in skating idnt think hes really that good
It all started when he was a kid. and got sponcered for skateboarding, you have to be good to get a sponcer.. from there he worked his way up to DC and invested in them. every thing he did for them he would get paid double what he was before. now he finally owns half of DC. he has three big hotels four big resturants and bought out rolex watch company.. that fantasy factory is more than a play place for him. that office up stairs is full of money coming in and investing in more. he makes money off that show. he makes money off stocks. he is a very good business man and is very smart. the skateboarding just got him started.
According to one of his interviews, Dyrdek said he's part owner of a hotel which "almost" led him tp developing a hotel in Las Vegas. It seems that Rob's plan of developing his own hotel in Las Vegas didn't materialize.
In the first season episode of Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory entitled Hotel, Motel... Robbie's Inn, Rob was offered the opportunity to redevelop and add his name to his very own Las Vegas Motel. Thrilled by the prospect of becoming a motelier, Dyrdek brought the Drama and Corpo to Vegas with him, to take a look at his new potential business venture.
Apparently, Liko Smith, who was featured on that particular episode and tried to convince Rob to invest in a Las Vegas hotel didn't deny that he owed money to the government. In September 2008, he was arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitian Police on suspicion of tax evasion filed by the El Dorado County District Attorney's
Dyrdek set 21 separate Guinness World Records for skateboarding as part of his former show Rob & Big.

Rob Dyrdek is a pro skateboarder he is sponsored by DC and alien workshop and he has his own show called Rob Dyrdek Fantasy Factory. He used to be on rob and big but that ended.
