skate boards were invented to imatate surfers and so surfers could ride on land, many old school skate tricks also come from surfing like the bertleman or bert slide

If by tricks you mean flip tricks, then I am no help. But if you mean sliding, and dancing then I'd say the Loaded Dervish is by far the best board, but expensive, my second recommendation would probably be the Landyatchz Drop Carve. Both solid boards for dancing and slides.
These boards are your best bet by far for a beginner.


As far as Freestyle and high speed stand up slides I'd rock a Rayne Nemesis,
And hands down hard wheel sliding, the Rayne Agent or Earthwing Corchia are solid boards.

It depends on what you want to build.. concrete, wooden, or metal.. I'll assume that you are speaking of a wooden ramp.. You'll need 2 x 4's or longer.. you'll need plywood and then another material that goes on top of the plys, masonite, or skate lite. If it's an outdoor ramp use skate lite, if it's an indoor use masonite.

The short answer is YES! Bigger wheels mean that if the bearing are spinning the same speed, the outside of the wheel is spinning faster than a small wheel.

I would say that Penny boarding is harder than skateboarding, for many reasons. Like 1. Its made of all plastic which makes it glide smoother and faster 2. It doesnt come with a foot grip unless you buy one with it 3.It is much much smaller than a skate board but if you prefer something bigger you can always get the Nickle board! Penny boards are 21' and nickle boards are 27'. for me, i think penny boarding is pretty easy once you get the hang of it, just wear knee pads and a helmet while your beginning because trust me, you will fall alot!

BMX IS FAR MORE DANGEROUS THAN SKATEBOARDING

Most of the time you only have two limbs attached to the bike at one time. (i.e. barspins, tailwhips, superman, etc)So catching yourself is totally out of the question when you are going 20-25mph opposed to scooter speed. Also because you go so much faster you generally get a whole lot more air which in return makes crashing more devastating. Would you rather crash on the concrete going appx. 7mph at most; or crash at 25mph, not just on concrete but toppling over a metal bike with poking edges. Hence why you see so many more people skateboarding rather than riding BMX, and it isn't just because BMX takes a lot more strength.

The function of a skateboard is quite a few. They are used for transportation, as a pastime and hobby, and some even use them to help them practice surfing while they have no access to the ocean. a skateboard is one of the funnest things you can own. it has all kinds of uses from exercising to work. some NBA teams have used skateboards to use in training their players, while people like Tony Hawk, Andy McDonald, and Paul Rodriguez make a great living doing contest and selling their products. a person who is able to make money with a board is able to do any trick from an ollie to a tre flip, and be able to land them almost everytime.

Your kickflip always goes backside because instead of flicking the board, your kicking. It's a stupid name because you don't actually kick for the kickflip, you flick.

well it has to do with balance so if you cant balance off a skateboard than your not going to be able to on one so it kinda takes practice; like me and my friends say skateboarding takes practice and practice make perfect

Easiest way is to play around on a skateboard in your driveway or to wear them everyday for about a week.

A skate park shold have at least a small half pipe, one fun box, a grinding rail, quarter pipe, and a spine transfer section(optional).
