What events led up to the Trojan war?
The reason for the Trojan war was the abduction of Helen by the Trojan prince and son of Priam, Paris. Helen was in fact the wife of the Achaen (Greek) warlord and close friend of the Greek king Agememnon, Menelaus.
But the reason for the abduction was the golden apple of discord by Eris which said that only the fairest could have it. Hera, Athena and Aphrodite fought for the apple but no one could decide who was better. then Zeus (who asked Eris to give that apple) ordered the Goddesses to go to Paris for the judgement. As even Paris could not decide he resorted to the better bribe. While the other Goddesses bribed for a better rule Aphrodite offered Helen of Sparta. But as Helen was by then the wife of Menelaus, Aphrodite helped Paris abduct her. This was the reason for the war of troy.

The Trojan war took place is Western Turkey during antiquity. It was was Prince Paris of Troy stole a wife of a Greek king. When Helen was married off to a king, it was agreed that if something happened to her, all the kings of Greece who had vied for her affections must go to war for the king that got her as a wife. So, when she was taken to Troy, the armies of all of Greece arrived on King Priam's shores across the Aegean Sea.
Why did cassandra from the Trojan war consider her gift to be a curse?
No one believes whatever Cassandra predicted. Basically, she sees these horrible images of what was going to happen to Troy and people she know, but everyone just thinks she is crazy. Some of Cassandra's predictions were that Paris will bring the destruction of Troy, Priam bringing Hector's body back from Achilles, the Trojan Horse, and Agamemnon's violent death.
What happened to Cassandra at the end of the Trojan war?
She was raped by Ajax The Lesser, and abducted, then becoming Agamemnon's concubine, Clytemnestra and Aegisthus murdered them when they came to Mycenae or Argos where Agamemon was king.
What are the causes and effects of the Trojan war?
In Greek mythology, there was a party held, and someone threw out a golden apple labeled "To the Fairest Maiden". All of the maidens were fighting and trying to decide amongst themselves. There was a Trojan prince, Paris, who was decided as the judge of who should receive this prize. Well, it was narrowed down to Aphrodite, Hera, and Pallas Athena. Each promised him something wonderful in exchange for the apple. But, Aphrodite coaxed him the best, by promising him that he should have the most beuatiful woman in the whole world, which was Helen. Aphrodite received the apple. Hera and Pallas Athena, in their wrath, turned against Paris. One man in power already had Helen as his own, and because Paris took her from him, the Trojan war was started. It lasted, I believe for nine or ten years.
In the end, I don't think Paris ever got Helen, not for long, at least. That is the best I have to offer. Most of this I am absolutely positive is true ( since I read a 465-page book on Mythology in great detail!!!)
An historical view:
The stories we have come from hundreds of versions of songs sung by the bards over hundreds of years. Nothing is certain, and the stories we have have traces of five centurues of story-telling which varies over five centuries.
The best we can say is that the Achaians (Greeks) went on a ten year looting expedition of Asia Minor and the Islands in the 12th Century BCE. At the end of it they took the richest prize - Troy which was destroyed and the people taken as slaves.
What became of cassandra when the Trojan war was over?
she was brought back home by agamemnon. she was killed along with agamemnon by clytemnestra, agamemnon's wife.
