And if that's not enough the reasons that a series letter is added have changed over the years. Up till 1974 a new series year normally started only when there was a major redesign. The series letter would updated when a new Secretary of the Treasury or US Treasurer was appointed. That caused some bizarre situations because bills weren't redesigned very often in the mid-20th century. The 1935 series of $1 bills was printed all the way to the 1960s, and series letters got as far as "H".

In 1974 a new policy was adopted. A new year series would be started whenever a new Secretary took office, and the letter would be updated when a new Treasurer was appointed. That means the time between new series years is usually short, and series letters rarely go above B or C. On the other hand, the new policy has some oddball results as well. For example when a new Secretary was appointed in 1988 no $10 bills were printed until there had been a second change in the Treasurer's office, so there are 1988-A $10 bills but no 1988 bills. Similarly, when the new purple and gray $5 bills were issued in 2008 the same people occupied both offices as in 2006, so both the old green and new purple bills were issued in the same 2006 series without a letter change.

I don't believe that there is no 1000000 silver certificate issued by the US in world war 11. my grand father was awarded a 2 1000000 dollars silver certificate after he captured 30 Japanese. If it is not true then i would say that the US military officer at that time are all liars. They just deceived my grand father by giving a fake money bill which in fact my lolo keep it until he died. A silver dollar bill with a full ladder refers to the serial number on the bill either increasing or decreasing in numerical order. For example: A12345678 or A87654321.

look at the number on the bill. if this question was referring to what are dollars worth compared to a different currency then the answer will constantly be changing as the value of different countries currency is fairly volatile.

The motto In God We Trust didn't appear on US $10 bills until 1963 so it's not a mistake on a 1934-series bill.

Yes there is a NZ 1 million dollar bill. However many people are not rich enough to own one of these and therefore many people think this does not exsit. Also since these days it is considered suspicious to have to much money in cash lying around and the amount of theft today this 1 million dollar bill is just about never printed.

Uh, Minnesota is a US state so a US $1 bill is worth exactly $1 there, the same as in all other US states and possessions.

The seals on $1 and $2 bills include the Federal Reserve District letter, which identifies which of the 12 districts distributed the bill.

Many people assume that the bills are actually printed in that district, but in fact all US bills are printed at facilities of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in either Washington or Fort Worth. The BEP takes orders from each Federal Reserve district, prints bills with that district's seal, and sends them back to the district's central banking repository for distribution through commercial banks.
