the wheel bearing and abs are one unit. remove wheel, get some one to press brake and remove big drive bolt from drive shaft, using car brakes to lock drive shaft. need a large socket and a tobolar bar, say off a jack, to place in bar breaker. extra leverage.
remove abs cable disconnect off suspension strut, need to flict down a clip, off struct and between wire to remove. remove callipers, remove calliper bracket remove disc, remove corner bolt lover, remove ball joint bolt, may need a ball joint press tool, remove 2 supension struct bolts. the neck shot move lever off brackets and lower joints, pull slightly drive shaft amy come off gear box, easier to remove but place a container to catch clutch fluid. WD40 on drive shaft and wood on head and tap out with hammer, on neck 3 bolts remove, checkl pics on ebay for repalcement bearing and scrap parts. Mine was rusted and i belive it may need to be pressed out. Tools for Job, container catch clutch fluid, ratchet 18 mm sockets, Vectra socket for calliper bracket, allen key sockets, caliper, ball joint tools, large socket for drive shap bold and large ratchet, better if next size up from 1/2 inched, and jack pole to fit over, helper, spacer for caliper if using braked to releae drivce shaft bolt, rememember one caliper is off and will compress, press. Haynes manual has some good images swivel hub, beraing on vectra cost £50 (abs same unit) scrap 25-30. Section 10.4-10-7 helpful. My bearing was full rust abd crud.

How do you remove the steering rack from a 2004 vauxhall movano?
I Had to do one the other day on a works van so will answer this while its fresh in my mind..it did take me about 2 and a half hours to remove it but it went back in fairly easy...
1. Raise the front of the vehicle on wheel ramps and then jack up further and remove the ramps use axle stands under the rear of the sub-frame mounts i did this to allow plenty of room to move around underneath
2.Remove both front wheels
3. Remove tie rod ball joints from the hubs with a ball joint splitter of your choice , undo pinch bolts on the other end of the tie rods and remove them completely from the rack ends..
4. Remove the pinch bolt on the input shaft, it's a self locking bolt so only needs a 13mm ratchet spanner on the nut to remove it..
5. Remove the bottom torque link between the subframe and the engine/driveshaft bracket..this allows the engine to swing out of the way
6. remove the power steering fluid pipes and drain into a suitable container..(good time to get a coffee while this is draining)
7. Remove the 4 bolts holding the rack to the subframe and it should now come free, move the rack to the passenger side and forward, it should drop down, you may now have to move the engine forward for it to allow the rack to drop down past the shaft and it should come free with a little swearing and gnashing of teeth...
And as most manuals say 'Fitting is the reverse of removal'
