According to a 2013 article on SocialTimes, this is thought to be around $5 - $8 per 1,000 views for pre-roll advertising and $0.80 - $1 per 1,000 views for banners.

This does not include the 45% cut that YouTube takes from the gross earnings of all partners.

Video views: You do not get paid per view, I would know, you get paid when people a) view your ads ex. not skip the pre-roll b) you get paid more if they click on the ad. I have a channel where I have 18k views and I've earned 18$ but another channel with 5k view but only earned 25c so it all just depends.

Subscribers: A youtube partner will NOT get paid anything per subscriber. But, more subscribers = more chances people will watch your videos = more chances people will click.

You may not want to get all your money through ads, it takes a while to collect a decent amount of money. That's why most YouTubers do brand deals and sell merchandise, but that's easy when you have a lot of subscribers.

for 1 million view you get a minimum of 3300 USD. how's that calculated.

Easy; this way

1,000,000 views x .0033 per view = $3300

as i said this is the minimum, you get more when you have more traffic (i.e. views ) to your video.

as an example the gangam style star PSY collected a fortune just out of youtube, because he exceded 1 billion view for that song. and now he is reaching half billion for another single
