Is facebook going to charge money for the use of the site?

No. There have been rumours going around for a long time about Facebook charging users but the website is not planning to. When a big rumour went around, Facebook put on their homepage 'Free Forever'! That pretty much means no, they won't charge.

No they are not, it is stated in at least one area of their mission statement that they will never charge money for the use of facebook. There are many people who post in their status' and create groups saying otherwise for the sake of fear-mongering, but we have nothing to worry about.

Charging for what? They do charge for some stuff, but that's only if you want to. For instance, they charge money everytime you send a private message via Facebook on the Facebook application. But if you don't want it, you can delete the entire application.
