Yes, "the courts have long recognized that copying software while reverse engineering is a fair use when done for purposes of fostering interoperability with independently created software."
http://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2009/02/apple-says-jailbreaking-illegal
Jailbreaking does not load a torrent app or allow installation of pirated apps. Those services are a separate and illegal venture that are commonly linked with jailbreaking, thus giving jailbreak a bad name.
If you're talking about iphones, no, although apple tried to make it illegal.
All Jailbreaking on any I device is LEGAL. You can do it and not get in trouble. The library of congress made it legal in 2008
jail breaking is but some apps you get through it arent however it will void your warenty
jailbreaking the ipod touch is legal. But if you use the tool that gives you all apps free it is illegal.
yes it is absolutely legal
The jailbreaking in itself is perfectly legal, but using the jailbreak to download any app for free (the paid versions) is illegal.
it's legal but you will lose your warranty
No, jailbreaking has been legal since 2010. However, if you jailbreak, you will void your warranty.
Jailbreaking a phone is partially legal and partially illegal. I have a post regarding this http://www.techlucid.com/2013/11/is-jailbreaking-illegal-or-not/
no its fully legal all it does is it voids your waranty
It is. The only problem is that it voids your warranty which means, if it breaks due to the jailbreaking, you won't get it fixed, or get a new one for free.
It is not illegal but will invalidate any warranty.
Well installous is very legal. Not really. It is actually a way to steal apps from the app store for free. Apple does not aprove of this, obviously, so they are trying to stop this. Jailbreaking is perfectly legal, just frowned upon. What a n00b.
yes have fun why u'll see
Yes, but Apple dosen't like it.
