it will be too much of a jump. i would recconmend a 2s (7.4V)

yes,but it might mess with your esc I have tried it stock with
turnegy battery packs because I had an replacement esc for e sav
but I have used 8.4v 5000mah turnegy in it stocked and wow fast
compared to stock 7.2v batts suggest get better esc
