Two types of metals are 1. Ferrous metal 2. Non-Ferrous metal Ferrous metal are the ones which contains IRON Eg: Steel Non-Ferrous metal are the ones which does NOT contain IRON Eg: Aluminum, Brass Ferrum is the latin name for IRON

Ferrous metal is any metal that contains iron.

Iron is attracted the a magnet.

So to test if metal is ferrous pass a magnet close to it, if the magnet reacts then you have ferrous metal.

to make ferrous metal all you have to do is mix iron with a certain type of metal

to make a non ferrous metal well you don't have to any metal that doesn't have iron in it is a non ferrous metal
