Conduction, or through direct contact,

Convection, or transfer of heat through a fluid,

or Radiation, or heat transfer through space in the form of electromagnetic waves.

• Convection - heat transfer through liquids.
• Conduction - heat transfer through solids.
• Radiation - heat transfer through vacuum.
