Pleasantview is the most entangling neighborhood in the Sims 2. There are many families:

Goth Household: Mortimer Goth is Pleasantview's wealthiest resident. His wife Bella mysteriously disappeared, he is a retired Mad Scientist with a net worth of about 640,000 Simoleans. Mortimer is nearing death, his adult daughter Cassandra will soon be marrying Don Lothario, and his child son, Alexander, is an aspiring genius.

Caliente Sisters: Dina is the widow of Michael Bachelor, Bella Goth's brother. Dina represents greed, while her twin Nina represents Lust. Dina is into Mortimer, but it's financial. Also, both sisters are romantically tied to Don Lothario, apparently without eachother's knowledge. one of Pleasantview's new arrivals, the came on the day Bella was abducted by aliens, and are 1/4 alien, 1/4 Spanish, and 1/2 Arab.

Don Lothario: Don is new to Pleasantview, and not much is known about his past. He is currently in a fling with both of the Caliente Sisters, though he prefers Nina, whom he had his first kiss with. His favorite lover is Kaylynn, with whom he's WooHood more than once with. Finally, he's engaged to Cassandra Goth, but fears marriage to her, as he just wants to make-out with ladies. Bella was last seen at his condo, and disappeared after she rejected his make-out.

Broke Household: Brandi is the daughter of Bob and Betty Newbie. Her husband died of a mysterious pool accident, mysterious hinting it wasn't just bad luck, and there may be a killer on the loose. Now, Brandi is running out of money. She is unable to work, so she can take care of her baby boy Beau. Her older son Dustin is a mischievous rebel. Before dying, Skip got Brandi pregnant. Dustin is dating Angela Pleasant, though he has more in common with her twin Lilith.

Pleasant Household: Daniel and Mary-sue have been married for a long time and are nearing elderhood. Daniel is in an affair with the maid Kaylynn Langerak because his wife Mary-Sue is romantically cold to him and prefers her work. Their twin daughters, Angela and Lilith, are always fighting and are total opposites. Angela is going steady with Dustin, and they haven't had their first kiss, Lilihth is going steady with Dirk Dreamer.

Dreamer Household: Darren Dreamer's wife Darleen died from a horrible fire. He quit his job after her death and started up painting, but bills are piling up and his money is running out. he has a crush on Cassandra Goth, but she is engaged to Don Lothario, who he considers an enemy. His son is Dirk Dreamer, who is very studious. Dirk is dating lilith Pleasant, though he has more in common with her twin Angela.

Burb Household: John and Jennifer Burb, and their mischiveous but cute daughter Lucy, moved from the city to Pleasantview. John came to have kids and increase their family, but Jennifer just wants to focus on her work. Jennifer Burb is Daniel Pleasant's much younger sister.

Oldie Household: Herb and Coral Oldie are Mary-Sue Pleasant's adoptive parents. They are a sweet old couple, but at the game's start they are out of love, and herb wants to start an affair.
