Bhuddists do not worship books as such.
Sacred books for the monks would be the Pali Canon (at least for
Theravada Buddhists).

The version of the Tipitaka canonized in the Pali Canon was
preserved in its final form in the first century A.D. It was
compiled in Sri Lanka.

The Buddha Dharma was originally written in a dialect of
Sanskrit, a pankrit. The main languages of the early Buddhist texts
were Pali and Sanskrit. Today the Buddha Dharma has been
transliterated into nearly every language.
