In order to change a bulb in the tail light of a Chevy Celebrity you must remove the tail light assembly from the car. To remove the tail light assembly"

1. In the trunk next to the quarter panel there are nuts that hold the rear header on, the center nut holds the tail light assembly on. It will be in the center of the tail light assembly near the outer edge. Take the nut off and pull the tail light assembly out until the stud clears the body.

2. Pull the tail light assembly to the side to disengage the tabs from the backup light panel.

3. Twist the appropriate socket to remove it from the tail light assembly, then unplug the lamp and replace it.

Reverse the steps to reinstall the tail light assembly.

To replace a tail light bulb in a 1986 to 1989 Chevy Celebrity:

1. Inside the trunk next to the quarter panel there are 3 nuts that hold the rear header on. The middle bolt holds the tail light assembly on, take it off.

2. Pull the tail light assembly out enough for the stud to clear the body then pull to the side to pull the tabs out of the backup light assembly.

3. Give a slight twist to the proper socket to take it out of the tail light assembly and you can then replace the bulb.

You can access the Nissan taillights from the cargo compartment. Remove the tail light assembly cover. Remove the tail light wiring harness. Remove the tail light assembly retaining bolts.

You will need to remove the tail light covers in the cargo compartment. Remove the wiring harness. Remove the tail light assembly retaining bolts.

Remove carpet inside trunk that covers tail ligh assembly, then unbolt tail light assembly, remove the assembly and bulb fixture of the bulb you want to replace, replace bulb and re-install in reverse order.
