Can you build a two story house on Sims 2 for GameCube?

No you can not. No Sims games for Nintendo products have been made to build two-story houses. However, buy the Sims 2 Pets on PC and you CAN build them. Remember that you have to have a Sims @ or Sims @ Expanded Edition save on your computer before you can play the game. I went ahead and bought the game, now I can't play it nor can I return it until I buy the other games.

you can't, sims 2 doesn't have upstairs, that's only sims 3!

The can easily have upstairs in the Sims 2! Base game, no expansions needed!! Just build the first floor, and, in build mode, look for the stairs icon - easy to spot. Add a staircase, go up a level (arrows on the left, or page up), and continue building. Add the roof to the top floor (you can have FOUR!). There are also, in the same place, connecting stairs, for porches, terracing the land, etc.
