How do you unlock the mushroom kingdom in smash bros n64?

Okay, i don't know exactly what you mean by "Mushroom Map" but if you mean the mushroom kingdom stage, you first have to beat 1-P Mode with all 8 starting characters. Then, do at least one vs. battle on each of the 8 starting stages. And now you have Mushroom Kingdom!

Also here is to unlock all 4 secret characters:

JigglyPuff: Beat 1-P Mode on any diffucuclty.

Captain Falcon: Beat 1-P Mode on Normal or higher in under 20 minutes.

Ness: Beat 1-P Mode on Normal or higher with three lives and NO CONTINUES

Luigi: Beat Break the targets (Training 1) with all 8 starting characters.

After you fulfill an above requirement, you must beat the character in a battle to unlock them.

Complete one player mode with every character and make sure one beats the game on very hard mode, then choose multiplayer and play 100 matches you will be able to go there now and you will get item switch.
