When you have a teenager in your house you have them go to a phone and all college or university, and pick the option that says go to college and then they will leave and you can find them in the college part of the game and move them in to where ever you want.

∙ 15y agoYou can graduate your sims from college, but it does take time.
You have to make sure they are keeping up with their schoolwork, their term papers, their attendance to school, and then their final test for each school year.
Once you get them through the four years, they will graduate and move into the family bin.

∙ 15y agoactually, u cantbut wat u can do is type in the "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" cheat click on sim pressing shift, click more once or twice and near the bottom it should say turn into young adult, and then u could move that sim into college

∙ 11y agoAll you have to do is get your teenage sims to use a phone and call college and click go to college, you can also use the computer to do so. If you want to have more money going into college then use the boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true cheat to make your sims a perfect ten on such things as cooking, cleaning etc. Apply for scholorships on your phone or computer when clicking collage and you will get money so you can buy houses to live in by yourself

∙ 12y agoI can only speak for the PC version, as I've never played the wii version, etc.
Unfortunately, there isn't an option at the moment for sims to go to college in The Sims 3. Children automatically enroll in elementary school, and teenagers are automatically enrolled in high school. But once they turn into young adults, their school life is over. Maybe the Sims 3 workers will create a college expansion pack soon.
