How do you make redstone tracks in minecraft?

Find a cave or dig one yourself and it will be lower in the depths.

You will need an "upgraded" pick to mine some of the "harder" ores. You can't use a wooden pickaxe to mine diamonds for example as the block will just shatter into nothing.

It points towards your respawn point. Just look at the direction the needle is pointing.

You can't make redstone. You must mine it, but it is pretty common under layer 16.
