Many, many years ago, yo-yo manufacturers sent skilled demonstrators around to elementary schools in Toronto, to stand around outside the main school entrance during lunch hours, demonstrating their many tricks and encouraging kids to try to learn how to do them. These days I've seen booklets in book stores, but nothing beats personal instruction and coaching, except perhaps videos. Try contacting a North American manufacturer/distributor.

You may think that making a yo-yo is hard work but it is actually very simple,

firstly you need to have 2 circular circles a bit like on normal yo Y's but it doesn't have to be plastic any thing that is circular then you put something in the middle perhaps a small tube and glue them together then you need some string around 28 cm and tie a little know to hold the string to the tube

then at the bottom of the string you need another loop for your finger and there you have yo yo s
