Lost xbox live card have receipt what can I do?

I have the exact same situation list £60 worth of xbox cards meant as an xmas present,i have all the receipts and can prove the purchase but xbox saying they can’t do anything you would think with the receipts they would be able to help!!

Look for the card. The receipt won't help you.

Some users on other sites have reported calling Microsoft and retrieving the card code with the serial number on the receipt. But this is not a service advertised by Microsoft.
