What does double tap root beer do in black ops 2?

It doubles the fire rate on your weapons meaning you run out of ammo quicker.

Double Tap is good for light machine guns that shoot slow but not good at all for fast-shooting sub machine guns. If you have a HK-21 or an RPK then it is alright but if you have a PM-63 or an MPL it is not recommended at all.

"Double Tap Root Beer" increases fire rate and reduces recoil by 33% on all guns and increases the speed of reloading, throwing things down, pumping shotguns and operating bolt-action sniper rifles.

And the Ray Gun is automatic, try it.
