Another reply: You don't get to level 99 of anything "fast" in RuneScape. It will require months of hard work for every individual skill. In some cases, it will cost lots of money, too. Some things are faster than others; use an online skill-calculator (for example, the one at runescape.salmoneus.net) to find out how long it will take for a specific skill, with different items.

the hardest 99 skill to get is summoning (members). the hardest 99 skill to get for nonmembers is prayer. summoning is not that hard to get to 99 it it relatively fast xp per hour, but then you've got to get charms. The hardest is slayer because you have to concentrate and you cant bot it, and you need a balance of combat stats. The hardest for non player is prayer because u need a lot of money to bye the bones and you burying them which is really bad xp compared to sacrificing them.

The fastest 99 in mems is prayer. The slowest Members is Farming, Summoning just takes long to get the charms, once you have all you need to get to 99 Summoning it can take a week easy. Prayer was done at Record Speed, counting 46Hours..and is named the fastest skill in Runescape. And the price for 99 Prayer is Raising though, because bots are finally gone from Runescape, well most of them.

Oh and Fletching can take a week and a half if you play 5hrs a day :)

The fastest way to get to 99 smithing in RuneScape is to smith the newest item your smithing level allows you to smith. This may not be the most cost-effective method, but it would be the quickest should you have an unlimited source of money.
