Why won't my two young adult Sims have a baby when i click try for a baby in Sims 3?

if it plays the lulaby, chime sound then you know your sim is going to have a baby. you have to wait for a day and your sims belly will get bigger. and for the next two days it'll get bigger and bigger. so if you heard the chime. know in three sim days you'll have a baby.
