Why is Legend of Zelda considered to be an RPG?

Well, the answer to this question is rather simple: It just is. Game play is fun, the story-lines are memorable, and the music is great! Thank you Kondo-sama for creating such wonderful music!

I think that that's exactly right. It depends on where you want to start, like what is so awesome? the music? the storyline? the game play? all of the above? I know it's awesome, and I think that it's storyline from humble beginnings on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) has really exploded out into the open. It can go anywhere from here, but as long as they don't make the game "Link and Zelda Meet the TelliTubbies" then it's all great, as far as I'm concerned.

Alternate Opinion:The Legend of Zelda is EPIC. It started dungeon-crawling and basically spawned all RPGS. Plus they put so much time into it. So it pwns. :D ONE MORE OPINIONin my opinion the legend of Zelda series is the best game series ever because of the story plots, the music, the puzzle solving, the detail, and the enemies all of this contributes to the greatest RPG's of all time the Legend of Zelda

According to facts that in the us 110 million copies of zelda games have been sold also $4,429,880,000 have been made off of the games. and (just for comparison not to be hating but) about $3,720,000,000 have been made off of pokemon games even with the Japan fans pitching in. Financially, its better than a whole bunch of other games.

i find that Legend of Zelda is a cool game ever since i started to play it when i was 7. the thing i like is how the RPG way of it brings you into the eyes of Link especially lately with the Wii remote as you feel like you are controlling link to swing his sword ETC. pesonally my brother likes that game i think its dorky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
