when you die multiple times in a row she comes as a spirt thing and helps you through the part, I think (havent played a while.) When you beat the final final galaxy after you unlock it (120 stars and all the green stars) She comes onto your ship.

No but she is replaced with a fat purple Luma. If you continuously fail on a star, she will appear in a 'night' form and will let you skip it and get the star but the star will be bronze to show you had to skip it.
