No leave it there otherwise all the leaves and rubbish will end up in the hair filter in front of the pump or worse still in the pumps impeller if you don't have a hair filter.
The keyword "pool head string" is significant in swimming pool maintenance as it refers to the string attached to the pool skimmer basket. This string helps to easily remove and clean the basket, allowing for proper filtration and circulation of water in the pool. Regularly checking and cleaning the pool head string can help maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the pool.
You could try a blower Or if that wont do the job try hitting it with a high pressure sprayer. A: explain pool cage. Does that mean the skimmer basket. Does that mean the pump basket?
In order to vacuumn the pool you must first put in the vacuum and the hose. You can siphon the air out of the hose by putting it in front of the return to dispace all air in the hose line. Then turn off the pump. Insert the end of the vacuum line either into the port at the bottom of the skimmer in the pool or remove the skimmer basket and insert it in the bottom of the skimmer. Then after the line is secure, turn on the pump motor. Your vacuum should be ready to use (manually) or run automatically if you have an automatic pool cleaner such as an Aquabug. If you have a slimline skimmer there is a port located just below the skimmer door it is used for the vac hose. After connecting the hose you put your skimmer lid down inside of skimmer and then you can turn on pump. By doing it this way you can let skimmer basket catch all large debries. This saves on having to backwash so much.
My skimmer is cracked on the side were the strainer basket fits. I used first PVC Primer & then PVC Cement. Its not leaking. These 2 small cans come packaged togaether. I got it at Home Depot.
Drain the pool until the water level reaches two inches below the skimmer faceplate , remove the face plate using a screwdriver , remove the faceplate and skimmer , then replace the gasket and attach the skimmer and then the faceplate
Someone put fish in your swimming pool? Get a skimmer net and remove the dead fishes bodies before they clog the filter. Most fish cannot survive the heavily chlorinated environment of a swinmming pool.
To remove a stuck vacuum head from a skimmer, first, turn off the pool pump to avoid any suction. Gently wiggle the vacuum head to loosen it, and if it remains stuck, try using a pair of pliers to grip and pull it out carefully. If that doesn't work, you may need to submerge your hand or a tool to push the vacuum head from the other side of the skimmer. Always ensure the skimmer basket is clear to prevent future clogging.
You can skim them with screenwire. Most dealers of pool supplies have a pole with a screen on one end made especially for that purpose. The best way to keep these under control is to install a floating swimming pool skimmer. there are several different types available however the most effective is a suction-side cleaner known as the Dragonfly Super Skimmer, these take advantage of the surface tension of the water and rapidly remove most floating object on the water. they can be found at www.dragonfly.biz
To remove an item from your basket on Amazon, go to your cart, locate the item you want to remove, and click on the "Delete" or "Remove" option next to the item. You can then confirm the removal, and the item will be taken out of your basket.
Normal procedure for vacuuming. With pump running, connect vac hose to vac head and lower into to pool (on vac pole), filling hose with water (push hose into water, hand over hand, to fill). When you get to the end of the hose you should see it full of water. Connect end of hose to skimmer - remove basket and push ed of hose into suction hole in skimmer. Suction should now be via the vac head - you're vacuuming. Contact me by e-mail if you need more info.
With the onset of the cold weather, you will need to winterize your gunite pool. Backwash the pool filter. Detach the pump and filter to drain any left over water. Drain the pool heater. Remove return jet fittings, the skimmer basket and pipes. Blow air through the system until bubbles appear in the water and cap off the fittings. Put an empty twenty ounce plastic bottle in the skimmer basket to compensate for freezing and thawing. Remove water from the main drain line and cap it. Remove ladders and floats. Lower the level of the water beneath the tile line.
Yes you can. Drop the waterline in the pool below skimmer level, dig a whole around your skimmer to gain access. Unscrew the skimmer faceplate and remove it as well the old gasket. You also have to remove the second gasket between liner and wall. Detach the pipe(s) from the skimmer. Now install the new skimmer by attaching the pipe(s) to the skimmer put new gaskets in place screw the faceplate back on and you're done. Don't forget to fill your hole again and put water back in the pool to the appropriate level. ;-) Jens Poseidon Pool Services, Dunrobin, ON
