When children are very young their clothing size is listed by age. A six month old wears 6M, a 12 month old wears 12M, a two year old wears 2T, and a four year old 4T, and this stops at 5T, BUT.......EVERY CHILD IS DIFFERENT!!!! Some four year olds are too tall for 4T, or too short, too skinny, or too wide. If you want to buy clothes for a four year old whose sizes you do not know, go for 5T. If it is a bigger kid, he should fit into it, and if he is smaller, he will grow into them.
