Why do animals like human food?

In part just because their human families are eating it, and so it is appealing by modeling. Human food also just tastes good, which is why we eat it. Dogs like many of the same things that people do.

Sometimes dogs dislike the dog food they are being fed, even though they eat it, so they are motivated to find more interesting or tastier forms of food by seeking out human food. If you think this is happening, start trying some other dog foods (of very high quality). Change dog foods slowly and gradually to avoid causing diarrhea or other upset in the dog.

they don't. they eat what they like to eat, not what you randomly give them to eat.

(another writer) They are descended from wolves, and wolves spent millions of years having to gobble up whatever they found as fast as they could. Most dogs will eat most things as long as they aren't completely full. Most dogs have some things they just hate, but they're not really picky, and they will eat long after they should stop, just like we will.

Dogs do not eat humans. Some wild dogs may attack humans who get to close to their dens or humans who corner them, but humans are not on there food list. Wild dogs mainly eat freshly killed wild meat while domestic dogs eat brand dog foods.
