My answer would be about 1023 animals are abused every year. Possible even more. The animals may have done something but not on purpose. The abusers don't think about what they are about to do, doing or have done. Dogs are great companions just when you need them. Like in the movie Marley and Me "Jennifier as Jenny " was sad because the first time they thought they were having a baby they found out it was not true anymore. She looked to Marley while "Owen as John" was in the kitchen. Jenny was crying to Marley and he was there for her. But just dogs. Think about cats and more. But this is a bad thing. Why not you all adopt an animal. Yea maybe you don't like animals but your saving a life. right now stop buying animals from breeders and buy them from shelters. They will have a better home then before. I'm sure you'd try to help save the animal life.
