It depends. If there is pus coming from the eye it's usually an infection. If they're just stuck closed than just get a tiny drop of warm water on your finger and rub it on his eye, it should open.

Will 2 teddy bear hamsters and 2 dwarf hamsters get along?

It is not recommended to house different species of hamsters together as they have different social structures and may end up fighting or causing stress to one another. It's best to keep hamsters of the same species together to ensure their well-being.

Why do hamsters have black eyes?

Although most hamsters have black eyes, some have red or brown eyes. This is due to the fact that hamsters are partially blind, and in the day can only see shadows of people and things around them, which is why you have to be careful not to wave above them or make sudden movements. A hand above the hamster could seem like a bird of prey to it. However, during the night, hamsters can see much better as they are naturally nocturnal animals. The red pigment in red eyed hamsters is a result of them being albino.

Why are your hamsters eyes so huge?

Hamsters have relatively large eyes compared to their body size to help them see better in low light conditions, as they are crepuscular animals most active at dawn and dusk. Their larger eyes also allow them to detect predators and find food more easily in their natural habitat.
