Hamsters actually CAN explode....but due to a tumor. If a hamster has a tumor that goes undetected/untreated it may get so large that it cannot be contained in the hamsters body, and therefore explodes leaving the poor hammy dead. :(

Can you give your hamster tissues?

No, it is not recommended to give tissues to your hamster to eat as they can pose a choking hazard or contain chemicals that may be harmful to them. Stick to feeding your hamster a balanced diet of hamster food, fresh vegetables, and occasional safe treats.

How do you cut up the carrots to feed your hamster?

Carrots should be cut into small, bite-sized pieces to prevent choking hazards for your hamster. Cut them into thin strips or small cubes that are easy for your hamster to pick up and eat. Ensure that the carrot pieces are fresh and free from any pesticides or chemicals before feeding them to your hamster.

How do you tell baby hamsters are boy or girl?

A boy hamster will have a little penis, and a girl hamster has a small vagina. Hope this helpsIf it is a female it will have a hole right below its tail. and males have two holes that are further apart. To tell if your hamster is a boy or girl first look at its bottom a girl hamsters bottom is not attached on the sides the boys isYou pick up the hamster carefully and lay the hamster on his/her back. If you see two holes close together, its a girl. If you see one hole and one you know what, its a boy.The pet shop should tell you but if not you can go to the vets. Most pet shops sell boy hamsters anyway, they keep the girls for breeding.

If your hamster is choking what do you do?

I think you should wait another few days. If it is still there, it might be cancer. Take your pet down the vets to get checked out. The vet might give you some medicine. My friends hamster had that and it looked like a grape was in his mouth. Hope I helped. :) Hope your hamster gets well again. Please reply on any other questions, Hamster Carer

Can you give your hamster a whole carrot?

It is not recommended to give a hamster a whole carrot as it can be a choking hazard. It's best to cut the carrot into small, bite-sized pieces to make it easier for the hamster to eat. Monitor your hamster while they are eating to ensure they are able to chew and swallow safely.
