This also included the famous Campbell Soup adds and the many brightly colored portraits. "Pop" Art refers to "popular culture". It is art created to show an object or person in a new way. The chosen object or person would be one that would be easily recognizable by any person, such as a Campbells soup can or Marilyn Monroe as done by Andy Warhol.
