Advantages:

Societies in an authoritarian country are known to be well disciplined, obedient, and have a high advantage in terms of education. The management of the society is well coordinated, which makes the decision making method more quicker.

Disadvantages:

Certain rights and freedoms may be eliminated depending on how the authoritarian government administers its laws. As with the restriction of rights, opposition is tightly banned, and any act of opposition whether it be dissent, may result in dire consequences. Corruption is also a main issue in this form of government, since a governmental body consisting of a group of people control the country.
