No. Modern Greeks Are Not White
White as opposed to what or whom? Negros or Swedes?
It is rather uncommon to mistake a Greek for German, but this does not make them non-white. They certainly are not black, or even dark skinned in their majority.
The Ancestors of modern Greeks are the Ancient Greeks. Some Greeks however, have got mixed ancestory as with every country, but on the whole, according to DNA testing as recent as 2012, about 90% of modern Greeks have the same DNA as that of the Ancient Greeks and are therefore descendants of the Ancient Greeks.
Modern day Greeks work in various industries such as tourism, shipping, agriculture, and technology. They also enjoy activities such as spending time with family and friends, dining out, going to cafes, and participating in cultural events and festivals. Many Greeks are passionate about their heritage and take pride in their history, language, and traditions.

Of course not! His name was Socrates and not Socratise and he was just as the rest of the Greeks (be that ancient or modern) just white, like the rest of Europeans (Italians for example).
