Yes, not so common. However, it has happened numerous times. Sometimes this is because of corruption within the justice system (i.e: Judge and Jury want the Defendant dead), other times it is that there isn't satisfactory evidence to save him/er. It may later arise that they were wrong, but other times it is never realised.
Always.
Because the Nazis executed thousands of innocent Jews and no one wants a slaughter of that many people to ever happen again.
Yes. At least all the murder victims.
It is estimated that around 200 people were accused of witchcraft during the Salem witch trials, with 20 individuals being executed. This means that about 90% of those accused were innocent of the crimes they were charged with.
There is really no way to tell for how many people have been wrongly executed. Many people sentenced to death have proclaimed their innocence to their last breath.
Less than one percent. Over the past century about 25 people have been executed in the US and then later proven innocent. Now we have DNA testing which takes away almost all doubt of innocence or guilt. And there also must be a unanamous vote for the death penalty. So now there is almost no way to be executed and then proven innocent.
All wars ever fought have killed innocent people. It is part of the nature of war.
¡ 24 deaths total !
no its not they have nothing to do with it so why are they to blame
