Two males are better suited to spending all their time together since they are more likely to both be interested in the same things (sports, movies, activities, etc.) than a man and a woman are. Likewise, two women have more in common with each other than a man and a woman do. They are more likely to agree on how to spend their time together. While opposite-sex couples are traditionally said to "complement" each other, this is just another way of saying that they differ considerably. One of the benefits of same-sex marriage is that you can double your wardrobe overnight!
