chronic lacunar infarct
neurol foraminal right narrowing c4-5 mild moderate can it be serious?
Moderate right foraminal narrowing at C5-6 is narrowing of the canals in the spine. C5-6 stands for cervical number 5 and number 6.
This sounds like someone reading an MRI report. It basically is arthritic changes with ageing
The C3 and C4 are 3rd and 4th cervical vertebra. They touch each other toward the posterior surface at the facets. The term mild hypertrophy means that there is a little more than normal the amount of bone there. See link below:
It is horrible. Your back never stops hurting and it causes your knees and ankles to hurt also. Answer Pain, numbness, weakness or tingling in the arms/hands and the legs may indicate cervical spinal stenosis. Patients with lumbar spinal stenosis experience the same symptoms but limited to the lower back, legs, and feet.
what is disc protrusion in the right neural foramen abutting right L5 nerve root
"Stenosis"
Foraminal encroachment refers to that degeneration in the spinal column which causes the obstruction of the foramina.
narrowing of the right opening through which the nerve passes
I guess you refer to the pulmonary valve stenosis which usually is due to the valve calcification when less blood supply will go from right ventricle of heart to the pulmonary circulation. The right ventricle will be hypertrophied because it's working harder then before.
My husband just got his mri report, at c2-c3 minimal left foraminal, c3-c4-3mm posterior central protrusion,c4-c5-posterior annular bulging, c5-c6prominent posterior bulge/broad based protrusion causing right goraminal stenosis, c6-c7 small posterior protrusion.. He has sever pain in his left arm...what should we do..
Mild right-sided foraminal narrowing secondary to uncinate spurring means that the space available for nerves to travel through is narrowed. The reason for this in this case is the uncinate spurring, which are bone spurs shaped like hooks, are intruding into that space.
