Good music comes in all forms. Rock and roll is not bad for the mind any more than other styles are bad for the mind. Is it educational? Probably not, but no one has claimed to have learned things by listening to classical music either. Those who suggest that rock and roll is not good quality music tend to be musical snobs. There is a vast amount of uplifting, rousing and emotive rock and roll music out there and long may it continue. So far, academics have found little evidence to show that rock and roll is damaging.
There is a vast range of vocal styles in Rock and Roll and there really is no predominant style. Rock singers may not technically be excellent singers (see Ozzy Osbourne) but have the voice that fits the style of the music.
Stupid question. The answer is no.The Jonas Brothers may be in the bubblegum pop hall of fame, but they are definetly not rock!
