of course he can, its called not being shallow. Besides when he does finally fall in love, if he didnt find that person very attractive at first, for some reason his love will make him physically attracted to you, sometimes because of small things. (example: nose, cheeks, eyes, hair.) When you fall in love you cant help but to realize all the little things that make you love them even more.

If you try override your own feelings by taking on board the personal views of others you'll end up confused and possibly lonely. Make up your own mind. What's attractive to you isn't necessarily attractive to others; just as well, or we'd all be chasing after the same person!
